Get a proper decent bike fit. That's last a few hours. It's costs a fair amount. They video you and replay it back to show you what your doing wrong and right. But has helped me a lot. I do not knee problems any more.  I can cycle a lot faster. No back pain. Trust me it's worth a it's weight in gold. Special after you have pod a lot for a nice road bike and your into your bikes and races and sportives.

Maybe add winter liposuction reduce the power 2 weight after bunging all winter

I have bee doing weights, particularly leg presses and squats, definitely helping

lol weights -3-5 sets heavy make you bulk up.... Just like that do it once and you'll look like Arnie! Peoples perception is funny! The 3-5 rep range once a week I how you get strong to crush out big power numbers, the other 2 strength days are spent doing plyo and bodyweight plus 10k for longer rep ranges usually 5 sets for 25 reps so 100 total, do this before or after a spin class 2 time a week and the 3-5 heavy stuff once a week you will NOT bulk up you'll become the Jens over the winter ready to crush souls and make your riding buddies beg for mercy lol!!

Right then I'm going to join the Mrs at her body pump class. How bad can it be?? As well as kickboxing 3 times a week and a bit of cycling thrown in for good measure.

Doing a 42 mile ride this Sunday... Hoping I make it back!!!!

Re weight training - heavy weights and low number of reps (3 -5) will cause you to bulk up. Weights you can push for at least a minute will give you strength and help you tone. Body Pump is the world's most popular group exercise class and in it you lift weights you can sustain for each track - circa 3- 4 minutes. Muscle groups are worked in isolation (back, shoulders, biceps, triceps, legs, abs etc). Results are muscle definition, fat burning, quick recovery and strength!
