Love the local small-scale type stores best, not too many of them around any more though

There's a little shop in Islington called Micycle, the staff there are always really friendly and they've been super helpful each time i've popped in for advice.

Cannot recommend highly enough Mobile Cycle Repairs-The mechanic comes to you and you can negotiate very reasonable rates! Does all types of bikes and also does in-ride repairs. Based in Wembley, but will travel. Number 07904 965 164

GetMoreBikes, off the Caledonian Road (Airdrie Close) in Islington, who also offer bike mechanic and cytech courses. They are a not-for-profit organisation, and work extensively in the local community.

Why Halfords of course hahaha. Only kidding. Do have some good deals on stuff but other than that I've always been told if you can't say anything nice then best not to say anything at all :) Pauls Cycles in Dereham, small local and great service and staff that know what they're doing unlike....... Online I've found Evans Cycles, Blackstone Bikes and High on Bikes really good to deal with

My LBS ashton cycles is spot on. Phill who owns the shop is helpful has good knowledge and he won't just sell you things for the sake of it absolute top little shop. I use him for as much as possible. WE SHOULD ALL SUPPORT OUR LOCAL BIKE SHOPS as they will look after you and value your custom more than these massive chains.

Outdoor Traders in Abingdon are great! Really informative, helpful and friendly team. Great service and nothing is too much trouble for them. Stock lots of great cycling accessories - both for bike and you. They have a cycling club that rides at least twice at the weekend. Would highly recommend.

I like J E James in Chesterfield. My bike came with a free first service and the only day I could take it was a Saturday, which was a day they usually reserve for prepping new bikes. Not only did they ignore that rule for me, when I got there they did it while I waited and offered me a cuppa! Quality shop.
