I'd highly recommend Raleigh Militis Race - total bike weight of 9kgs and good quality spec. Certainly a better ride than a Pinarello FP1 and considerably lighter
Merida are a good reasonable brand Partly owned by specialised I believe.
Mine is a Carrera road bike
i bought a cannondale caad 8 claris as i was told that being a larger cyclist and has to be the colour :)
