Hi Bugs,

This thread really hit it off on the running bug so we are starting one here...

Post #friendme below if you'd like more cycling bug friends, then friend each other by clicking on the 'Add Friend' button which comes up if you hover over a member's profile picture, and build up your support network!

Hope this helps everyone out,

Chris.

#friendme I live in Plymouth and looking to see if anyone else is doing any long distance cycling. I am talking part in this years Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 mile bike ride as part of Team MacMillan Cancer Support. Anyone near me wishing to have a cycling training buddy then please do get in touch.

#friendme I live in Essex.  Rides with café stops for tea and cakes. I am an experienced touring cyclist looking to join with, or inspire others. I am a regular charity rider for the BHF. Time spent cycling and enjoying the surroundings is more important to me than speed or mileage, although I usually cover about 30 miles in a morning jaunt, and 60 in a day's ride with stops for refreshment and reflection.

#friendme. I live in North Solihull/ outskirts of Birmingham. Have recently started cycling the wrong way . I bought a used mountain bike and tried crunching the road miles on that. It hurts! Now got a road bike, and would love to make friends with anyone, as I'm sure we all have tales to tell, advice to give. I intend to take part in Sportives and Charity fundraisers later.

#friendme Sitting out in West London...Uxbridge way and though out on my own is fun, more is funner...if you know what I mean! Trouble is most of my miles are evenings and only very occasional weekends. Ideal year - a sportive each month. Jan - tick. Feb - - nope. March - Tick (BHF London to Reading). April - searching. May - Michael Sobell Hospice Ride. June onwards - looking though Nightrider looks like a goer and maybe London to Paris. Anyway, enough prattling! With half decent weather like to get 15 or so in after work from about half 6.

#friendme Hi I'm Ali from Perth... started cycling last year, but I've no friends that do :( although i don't mind cycling on my own. I've no one to share my stories with... I've signed up to do the 100km Cycletta for Macmillan Cancer Care in July and busy training for that. Ithink the people who know me are getting sick of hearing about it...I need like minded friends :) plz don't make me beg LOL x

Hi Ali, It doesn't matter on here how far away you are, or where you are in the world, you can always make friends. And you can count on us bug-friends to help cheer you on and keep you motivated. I have started a blog as I'm cycling 100miles in August fro MacMillan Cancer Support as part of this years Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 event. It will be my biggest challenge to date, but we all do things for a reason. Good luck and hope your training goes well.

Hi , my name is simon I'm 48 and started back riding my road bike in the new year.
I'm happy out on my own and increasing my distances and decreasing my times but would enjoy a companion to ride with. New routes distances etc. I work full time and have a busy lively family. But try to get out as much as possible. I live in the Bexhill area on the south east coast.
