36 miles is the farthest so far, next up is 50 miles and want to work my way upto the big 100. I learned a whole lot about my body and carrying fuel as I felt totally burned at the end of it! Felt like an achievement though! :)

31 miles, Viking Coastal Trail in Kent (http://connect.garmin.com/activity/458731638) I highly recommend it and good rail links to/from London. Took a day during the week and the weather was perfect, and since it was off-peak not a soul to be seen really and most legs (this was a down-side though when I wanted ice cream!)

Up to now the longest distance I have done is 28 miles, I only started cycling last year and before that was was cycling to school and that was nearly 30 years ago, I suppose I should be pleased as when I first got back on a bike I barely got out the village as by backside was hurting so much, and 1 year forward I have to try and get on my bike daily as it has become slightly addictive for me now :) and I have even purchased myself a decent road bike.

I took part in the Ride London 100 on Sunday and clocked 86 miles during the race (cut short due to terrible weather conditions) plus and extra 5 miles getting to the start line!  It was a real challenge and I was initially disappointed by the shortened route but secretly relieved after the climb to the hub at Newlands Corner (@47 miles).  I will be in the ballot on Monday and hope to try again this year - the whole 100 in better weather

101. It was only supposed to be 70 but a misguided "shortcut" made it much longer than expected.

I was on 98 when I reached the end of my road so even though I was exhausted I had to detour around to notch up my first century!

June 2011 cycled WSM to Paris in 2 days, day 1 = 100mls day 2 = 136mls, fantastic feeling and France a lovely place to ride, I was 54 at the time and had been riding for only 5 months. ride was to raise money for youth work in the area.
