These glasses are incredibly lightweight and yet there was no doubt that they would stand up to punishment with their robust design and high build quality.

  • Lightweight
  • Good fit

The black frames and colourful lenses are modern, stylish and suitable for both sexes. The large ‘Oakley’ design on each side is certainly bold and I was concerned that they may even obscure vision; however, whilst they can be seen at the periphery whilst wearing them, as I‘m not looking out for low-flying aircraft whilst cycling, they did not get in the way – rather, the wrap-around effect of the lenses gave great coverage and glancing or turning my head I could see very clearly.

I was impressed by the fit – as someone who finds it difficult to find a suitable size, these sat comfortably on my nose and were secure at the side of my head – throughout my ride there was no need to adjust the glasses at any time – regardless of potholes or poor road surfaces. To ensure a perfect fit for any rider, the arm-length is adjustable – which should accommodate different helmets and head sizes.

My eyes were protected from the wind throughout which, as a hay fever sufferer, I was delighted by; furthermore, regardless of speed, the lenses (which have several vents) remained clear throughout with no misting or fogging on the long up-hill slogs. In addition, the ‘Prizm’ lenses – offer a crystal-clear view regardless of weather conditions; in the 4-seasons-in-one-day that is cycling in this country, visibility was excellent.

The glasses certainly deliver on practical use – and whilst they wouldn’t be my first choice as a fashion accessory – they look great with cycling kit; larger and bolder than other glasses on the market but with Oakley’s usual flare.

A stylish and practical pair of cycling glasses that fit well and offer comfort as well as great coverage and visibility.
